i tried looking around to find an answer to this and it seems like the standard answer is to scan for new roms. Launchbox for android not adding new roms. i know that mspacman saves my scores so that may be one to test. i would look at the files i referenced and see how yours differ. also in your mame\ini\presets\mame.ini i have a line that says "plugins 1" and "plugin hiscore". Within mame\ini\presets\ i have a plugins.ini which simply has a line that says "hiscore 1". for example, high scores for the game moon cresta will be saved in the file mooncrst.hi in the hiscore folder in your plugin. a file with a name corresponding the system short name (or rom set name) with the extension. High score data is saved in the hiscore folder in the plugin data folder (see the homepath option). open “mame.ini” and scroll down to (or p ress control f and search for) “scripting options”.

you can verify this by looking at the “mame.ini” file located in the root mame install folder. Open the zip file and extract copy the "hi scores" folder into \launchbox\plugins by default, plugins are enabled in mame. features shows high scores for most games in your arcade platform in the game details.
